Connect with the Original North
The Sami people have lived in harmony with the Arctic nature for thousands of years. This package is designed to give you a deeper understanding of their nomadic history and daily life.
Using the historic Dividola log cabin as your basecamp, you will embark on a guided cultural immersion. This is not a show; it is a meeting with the people who call the wilderness home.
Package Highlights

The Reindeer Encounter
Stand amongst the herd. Learn about these gentle animals that are the very soul of Sami culture. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to feed them or observe their migration.

Tales of the Lavvu
Enter the traditional herdsman’s tent (Lavvu). Gather around the open fire for storytelling. Listen to legends of the spirits, the stars, and the history of the region.

Taste of the Arctic
A traditional Sami meal is included in your experience. Taste dishes like Bidos (reindeer stew) or smoked meat, prepared over the fire and served with steaming black coffee.
Your Cultural Journey

Nature’s Rhythm
Please note that the reindeer move with the seasons. The specific content of the encounter (e.g., feeding vs. observing) depends on the time of year and the location of the herd. We always prioritize the welfare of the animals.
We ask our guests to show respect for the culture and ask permission before taking close-up portraits of our hosts.
